Thread Clippers

(1 bis 2 von 2)

These clippers are often referred to as ring finger, nap, burling, palm, thread or cleaning scissors. The clippers are nested in the palm with the ring finger engaged in the eye - this leaves the hand free for other work. Threads are simply cut by pushing the upper blade down with the thumb whilst the ring finger holds the clippers, which are spring-loaded to open automatically after each cut is made. Snipping requires no effort whatever.
The screw is secured in position by a special lock nut.

Clippers with straight blades:
are used to cut sewing machine threads. They are not intended for undoing seams.

Clippers with bent blades:
are used to trim threads at final inspections. The curved blades facilitate picking up of threads on a flat stretch of fabric without accidentally damaging the fabric.
